Activan planes de contingencia en Barinas tras intensas lluvias

El gobierno nacional informó que junto con autoridades regionales y locales se encuentra atendiendo de manera prioritaria la emergencia ocasionada en zonas del estado Barinas por las intensas lluvias de las últimas horas, las cuales no se registraban en la zona desde 1996.
A través de un video publicado en redes sociales, el ministro de Transporte, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, indicó que una comisión se encuentra en la entidad con el objetivo de brindar respuesta inmediata a las familias afectadas, especialmente en Puerto Nutrias, localidad a orillas del río Apure.
Las autoridades iniciaron labores de supervisión, achique de aguas y construcción de muros de contención para mitigar el impacto de las inundaciones y prevenir deslizamientos de tierra. Asimismo, se prioriza el despeje de vías con el fin de garantizar el acceso de alimentos, medicinas e insumos esenciales a las comunidades afectadas.
Entre las acciones se evalúa romper un tramo de carretera en la zona alta de Puerto Nutrias para facilitar el desagüe y aliviar la acumulación de agua que compromete la seguridad de los habitantes, informó el ministro.
Además de Velásquez, la comisión desplegada por Barinas incluye al vicepresidente sectorial de Obras Públicas y Servicios, Jorge Márquez, el ministro de Vivienda, el gobernador Adán Chávez y otros representantes del gabinete.
Las medidas forman parte de la Fuerza de Tarea Andes 2025, creada para atender contingencias por las lluvias en Mérida, Trujillo, Barinas y Táchira.
